PEN-Y-CLAWDD FARM
Pen-y-clawdd Farm is situated within the foothills of the Black
Mountains, in the beautiful surroundings of the Skirrid, Sugar Loaf
and Blorenge, and within a 1.5 miles of the Offas Dyke foot path,
and located in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The
Bed and Breakfast is located 3.5 miles from Abergavenny town centre,
with easy access to Hereford (20miles), Newport (20miles) and Cardiff
(40miles). The farm is run by John and Ann Davies and has excellent
facilities to offer it’s guests, along with outstanding hospitality
and a warm welsh welcome. Rooms are equipped with en-suite facilities,
TVs, and tea making facilities. The farmhouse has excellent laid
out gardens ideal for guests to relax during their stay. The B&B
is also a family run farm, which is home to 150 head of sheep and
100 head of cattle.
Over the years the farm has welcomed visitors from all walks of life that have
visited the area to enjoy activities such as: - walking, cycling,
hand gliding, fishing, the millennium stadium, horse riding, canoeing,
the markets, Hay on Wye Festival and Abergavenny Food Festival to
name but a few. The farmhouse is located within close proximately
of the Skirrid Mountain Inn – Wales Oldest Inn, The Walnut
Tree Inn, and within easy access of local towns such as Crickhowell,
Pontypool, Usk, Chepstow and Monmouth. The area also has an excellent
cycle route – Cycle Route Sustran 42. Penyclawdd Farm has
a lockable double garage to house motorbikes and bicycles.
A haven for bird watchers.
The area of Abergavenny is located on the border of England and
Wales, which is home to numerous castles dating back to medieval
times.
